My secret desktop directory over the Christmas holiday was labeled project.xmas and password protected.. I took a photo while I was in Nottingham (UK) of the phone booth where I spent nearly every minute of my time there talking to my new girlfriend.
That girlfriend that I spent all that time talking to in that phone booth is now my wife, and mother of our 3 beautiful daughters.
8 years later, that photo has managed to survive alongside our marriage, children and a grip of exciting adventures together along the way. That said, it *barely* survived. Stuck with some alien form of gooey-gunk to the glass frame that used to hold it, there was no way to extract it and have it reframed.
Technology, skills and a lotta sneaky lovin’ to the rescue. The project.xmas folder contained my scan of the glass that the photo was stuck to, the first step in my restoration attempt, powered by Photoshop and obsessive attention. By Christmas day I had finished (not exactly to my ideal standard, but timing was more important this go-round), reprinted, framed, wrapped and in place to be the last gift discovered.
Have a look, what do ya think?

Merry Christmas from Captain Emo.

As far as the season, post usual shift in weather, light and ‘noia - so far so good. Ok, great actually. I successfully smoked my very best friend in the world in the 1st annual Mario vs. Sonic Olympic Circuit Challenge Cup. I’m quite the protégé in the hammer event as well as - shocker coming here - table tennis. It makes it far more enjoyable in such an event to propose a considerable, yet enjoyable wager.

ok ok. yet again i’ve psycho-latched onto another high school powered pop anthem band’s album. Typical me being a sweethearted sissy one day, raver scum the next, violent screamo-core bleeder the following, etc. what i did notice, and have decided to use as an excuse that i think they’re super cool or whatever, is that the lead vocal several places throughout the album reminds me of one of my favorite records of all time.
Who remembers Pummel by ALL?

I’m having my occasional Brewing Station winter late night couple stout pints tonight at an empty pub. My favorite. =]
Quote of the evening, a mock order (quite common for some time), reinforced with quick-witted adjustment to include the island’s cocaine problem. PUNCHLINE FORTHCOMING, BEHOLD!

I’ve been waiting for somebody to take enough meds, and/or care enough about the guts and details of their job or life’s purpose or whatever the funk to address the issue of whether or not a button or hyperlink actually needs to include the instructions “Click here to” ________ .
Thus, the article exists, and is quite pleasing -> http://www.copyblogger.com/click-here/

If any game matters, its the overpowering of the heels. If it can happen with a defensive stop in the last minute of the 4th, at home, all the better. Pack Wins 31-27 over the next door neighboring Tarheels.

the demonoid saga continues. threats continue, and once again everyone’s favorite private torrent tracker is MIA - thanks again to f*cking canada. Here’s the message on display..
The CRIA threatened the company renting the servers to us, and because of this it is not possible to keep the site online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding.
i thought canada was supposed to be uber-cool about everything or some stupid rule like that. the last two things that i’ve heard regarding canada are this CRIA stuff and nelson (ed hughes, formerly someone who didn’t work @quiksilver and massively successful retail snowboard purveyor on a beach) getting literally deported.
