drew liverman, doing the thing.
so apparently design radar (being called DesignDar) is something that’s cool - but, i’d say have a damn near annoying curse of this design radar or whatever. unintentionally taking notice of, evaluating, and overanalyzing design of quite the grip of mediums, primarily graphic in nature. typography is a severely occupying beast, especially if its really good or really bad, because i’m always looking without looking and will often launch into discussing whatever my eyeballs have reported to my brain. but logo stuff, print work, restaurant menus, billboards, vehicle accents, album cover/disc art etc. is something that although very fun and often interesting, i really do wish i occasionally had an off switch for. its hard not to be last one to order an appetizer when my mouth is still running about how poorly some poor lad or lady has aligned some stock photo of a chicken sandwich. could be worse i suppose.
here’s smashingmagazine.com‘s take on the subject, and they (yet again) made up a word that’s not a word

I make stuff on the inter-tubes. I'm somehow or another a strange hybrid creature of half-nerd, half artsy-fartsy designer with an unruly love for typography. I heart girls, and have 4 wonderful ones. Boosh!
