chillin’ on the deck with fire-lit pumpkins as my background visual, nursing my second deuce of legend Oktoberfest.. so far so lovely eh?

enter the strangely awesome.. how about – after for some fucked up reason thinking about doing this almost all day – a (pretty loud) solo acoustic jam session perfecting T.I.’s “whatever you like.”

I’m now at the cap ale house to snatch up an old chub pint glass or two (oscar steal the glass night!) – my suspicion is that the oscar-chub soaked second edition will be damn near net-worthy. but as of me realizing how I’m not awesome enough to use this hippy vs hiphop creation as a launchpad to stardom, I’ll probably never let you see or hear this (soon to be actualized) masterpiece. strange night.

Reanimating Night of the Living Dead.

ok here’s the deal. this collaborative project is unquestionably one of the most genuine in nature and promisingly amazing in its ultimate goal that i’ve ever managed to crawl upon. i requested to contribute to project pretty much as soon as i got to the site.

NOTLR is coming, and will spawn as result of talent, awareness, social networking and creative initiative compiled purely via the web.

the project is a ripe, undoubtedly fresh remix of classic storytelling: the original 1968 horror film Night of the Living Dead. how much shit is about to get thrown in the mash-o-tron blender? at least..

illustration, photography and digital media varieties out the ying yang
still and motion
2d and 3d
color and b/w
analog and digital
now and then techniques of cutting the film and post – the tons of editing hours part will remain authentic as it was the first go-round
designers and slashers at an artsy film screening! (what kinda beer do ya drink there?)

a delightfully imaginative playground of darkness awaits as my purely personally motivated one-off side project. muuuahh-ha hahaaa etc.

suggest the r&b slowjamz universe (of which i semi-seasonally partake in) is pretty much saying – oh shit, we’re all out new words to sing about humpin’ and flowers and stuff; guess we gotta dig through the 90s crates again. yis. boo.
sell me on the r&b season ending as soon as it started? yis. r&b is about to be stupider than most of you already think it is anyway – rad b/c all the songs are classics, just ax-murdered by people named “pretty” something. yeah, it’s “pretty” dumb.

oh and yeah, this is undoubtedly classic drza-fashioned judgement of an entire genre by one item within it.

So I made the mistake of wondering what Edward Nelson Hughes had been up to while JQuery-ing some dnb as usual on Thursdays (via BassJunkees Subloco, Subversive & crew..) – and low and behold, I asked him only to receive the photo below as my answer. Not only did this take me for a spin down ‘Those were the days’ Lane, I completely lost all concentration powered by a serious roflcopter attack.

ok ok. yet again i’ve psycho-latched onto another high school powered pop anthem band’s album. Typical me being a sweethearted sissy one day, raver scum the next, violent screamo-core bleeder the following, etc. what i did notice, and have decided to use as an excuse that i think they’re super cool or whatever, is that the lead vocal several places throughout the album reminds me of one of my favorite records of all time.
