The DRIVE to Richmond this holiday weekend will most likely be as DROWSY as the Drew (or ‘DRZA’), and as DULL and DELETABLE and DUMB as this post.

so we leave town friday after work, headed to richmond - as is becoming more and more usual - ready as the season calls to hit the mountains for a day trip of riding, powered by nana and pop *aka g-diddy* (the only people our kids like more than us, santa clause and chucky cheese cyborgised and replicated baring gifts and wisdom). upon arrival, nana has an ear infection (x2) and bronchitis. nix the trip. no sweat, great time to help her out and just kick it, take care of her, pay back the eons of favors, etc. 2 days pass of such; and, with little to note other than a few good old fashioned weekend activites..
- tiger woods ‘08 on the wii
- IPAs! (big up the 90 minute imperial dogfish, though wifey prefers for some reason the 60 minute edition)
- b-dubz (buffalo wild wings) and a wolfpack win on the road
- a brief introduction of DDR *not ram, but breakin’ it down* to pop, lightly flirting with a fall into the creek
- i actually think this was last towards the tail end of last weekend maybe, but worth a mention nonetheless. “un-tee surr’ dawg,” and her innocently easy handful of play-doh -> new man, which in her position and the level of this kid’s believable good-guy-ness should be a no-brainer.. come on, a nice guy sub 5 years, basketball coach from the midwest or somewhere like that!?!? too easy, she’s 30 and single! duurrrrrr.
- *** and *** kaylee getting her ear’s pierced - no big deal right? she did great! brave, nothing to it, etc.
…until, ’round midnight the day before our venture home, let the scream-a-thon begin - guess what it is? kaylee’s ears. ok, what’s wrong with the screaming kid? ears. so is it -
(a) the earrings?
(b) the psychological effects of the earrings? (ok, that was probably only applicable to me)
…or…
(c) the ear infection
who woulda thought, but after seeing dr. feelgood meyers, alas all is well again. we return tomorrow @7am to make it back in time for school, thus avast.

If any game matters, its the overpowering of the heels. If it can happen with a defensive stop in the last minute of the 4th, at home, all the better. Pack Wins 31-27 over the next door neighboring Tarheels.

Saturday the Wolfpack represented right for homecoming against the conference leading UVA Cavaliers. I made a Raleigh trip of it, quite fun. What couldn’t be fun with an entertaining set of entities like these…

And yes I know I couldn’t get tickets etc. But, how much fun would be (a) in beantown (b) guzzling at a Boston micropub (c) for a Red Sox World Series game a block or two from Fenway.

NC State Director of Athletics Lee Fowler has announced that Tom O’Brien has been named the 33rd head coach in the 115 years of Wolfpack football. O’Brien has spent the past 10 seasons as the head coach at Boston College, where he won more games than any coach in BC history.

In related-yet-unrelated news, Sidney Lowe and the Pack pulled a pretty hefty upset on the Michigan Wolverines in Raleigh earlier this evening.

how ’bout that wolfpack not holdin’ it down today at farking maryland - aka the “we don’t allow football program to be worth a sh!t” (big brother) state. pretty cool how the pack (my born into, by blood imaginary alma mater) can win games that ridiculously ridicule their spreads as long as its a home game and i happened to make the trip and find tickets. aka the late rally to take down boston college and the last minute upset against the ‘noles. but against - well, anyone so it seems - if we’re not at home we’re an array of turnover highlight show footage. akron, so. miss?!?!? WHO? guess i can’t even say wait until basketball season, we just lost andrew brackman to baseball! what is college baseball?
i talked a buncha sh!te to stefan and mark this week b/c this shoulda been an easy knockout - the away factor scapegoat will have to work for now. but no kidding, if we lose to virginia (although the game IS in charlottesville, va) - i swear i might just pick up a duke football or clemson hockey jersey to sport around town… so come saturday, go wolfpack or i quit until bball… ok, probably not - but head coach hatred and directional bitterness will be the flavor of the week.
